The beer garden in the Festspielhaus Ein Ort, an dem der Genuss zählt

Summer time is beer garden time. And if you have the unique opportunity to sit down in one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Germany, then it is even more so. Under the traditional Bavarian white-blue sky, the beer garden directly next to Ludwig’s Festspielhaus with its unique view of the two royal castles Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein, situated against the fantastic and picturesque backdrop of the Allgäu and Ammergau Alps.

The popular Sunday morning pint, which is accompanied by various associations of the Allgäu-Schwäbischer Musikbund, will once again take place regularly this year in the summer months. Over the coming months, music clubs and chapels from Bad Grönenbach, Meitingen, Ruderatshofen, Westendorf, Kaufbeuren, Markt Rettenbach and Bobingen will be guests in Füssen. Not only traditional brass music awaits the listeners, also oldies and of course current hits are presented by the musicians. Fresh sausages, delicious pretzels, Obazda and many other delicacies are served with the wheat beer. New this year is the catering station in the baroque garden of the house, specially equipped for cyclists. After all, the cycle tour around Lake Forggen is one of the most popular routes in the region. Cycling enthusiasts from young to old can stop by the kiosk at the Festspielhaus on their way around the lake to refresh themselves with cool drinks, snacks and ice cream. If the weather is fine, the kiosk is open until 5 pm, for cultural events even until 9 pm.
