Kaisersaal Concerts and Festival Vielsaitig in Füssen
The Kaisersaal in the baroque monastery of St. Mang has always been used for representative purposes and cultural performances, and chamber music is an integral part of this hall. Not only baroque works, but also the music of the following epochs, which seeks the direct connection between musicians and audience, are impressively accentuated here. The aesthetics of the room and the music merge here into a Gesamtkunstwerk.
With this in mind, the cultural office of the city of Füssen invites outstanding musicians and ensembles every year to perform the Kaisersaal concerts from May to August. From the end of August, music lovers can look forward to the festival with many strings in the baroque monastery rooms. The festival refers to the important history of Füssens as the cradle of European lute and violin making. Under an annually changing motto, you can expect a varied concert programme, which is supplemented with exhibitions, lectures and guided tours on violin making and city history.
