Dreiländereck and the Loch Cave Castle
It is an exciting tour for families with (older) children, which can be perfectly combined with a visit to the Forest Experience Centre. The viewpoint at the Schwarzenberg summit with the historical landmark, which can be reached via narrow paths, offers a fantastic view over Füssen and far into Tyrol.
Around 1800, the county of Tyrol, the high monastery of Augsburg and the electorate of Bavaria met at this boundary stone, hence the name “Dreiländereck”. According to the legend, a three-sided table was positioned there for the meetings of the regents.
From the Walderlebniszentrum car park, take a footpath along the road in the direction of Tirol / Reutte. Shortly before the former border crossing at Weißhaus, the ascent to the Red Wall and the border triangle begins on the left side of the road. The path is narrow and steep and leads up to the junction Rote Wand and Dreiländereck. The way is well described.

Besuchen Sie die Überreste der einstigen Höhlenburg Loch nahe der Einkehrstation Schluxen. Der Wanderweg führt hinter der Gaststätte am Waldrand weiter und zweigt später rechts ab, um über die Ruine Loch hoch zur Roten Wand zu führen. Hier trifft sich der Wanderweg wieder und Sie steigen hinunter zum Walderlebniszentrum. Am Ende des Weges halten Sie sich links und gelangen so zum Waldmusikplatz und zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Wem der Anstieg über die Ruine Loch nach der Einkehr zu viel ist, kann statt der Abzweigung zur Ruine Loch weiter geradeaus gehen und über den Kratzer und das Kraftwerk Weißhaus zurück wandern. Am Schwangauer Gitter ist über die Fürstenstraße ein Abstecher zum Alpsee möglich.
Achtung: Nur bei trockener Witterung zu empfehlen, da die schmalen Waldpfade bei Nässe rutschig werden.
